I received a phone call a couple of weeks back about photographing this handsome young boy named Kinglsey. Kinglsey is a two year old pup and was diagnosed with cancer in January. The vet only gave him a few months to live. Being a fur-baby mama myself this story tugged at my heart strings.

When I showed up to the shoot Kingsley stepped out, ball in mouth, and was shy at first. Strongly limping along behind us he was happy and care-free. Instantaneously I could see how much these two loved each other. Whoever said diamonds are a girls best friend apparently never had a dog...

I feel very grateful to not only be reminded how quickly things can change, but also given the opportunity to document a few enduring moments of the bond between a girl and her first love; Kingsley.

I hope you enjoy their bittersweet story.
